In general, our seasons are as follows:
February 1 – May 31 we accept Spring/Summer clothing. This includes short sleeves, tanks, skirts, shorts, sundresses, swimsuits, rain wear, rain boots. *Soccer cleats Feb 1-Apr 30
July 1 – October 31 we accept Fall/Winter clothing. This includes sweaters, hoodies, long sleeves, jeans, fleece sleepers, fall jackets, sleep sacks. *Halloween Costumes Sept 1-Oct 15. Winter Outerwear, Boots & Skates Sept 1-Oct 31
Brands & Sorting
Sort your brand-name clothing and shoes from newborn to size 14. Please check carefully for stains, holes, excessive wear, fading, odours, broken zippers or missing buttons. Clothing must have tags indicating brand and size. Please remove personal name labels (ex. Mabel’s Labels) Shoes & boots should be in excellent shape with minimal wear and free from dirt and debris, including the soles. We prefer clothing that was purchased within the past 3 years in keeping with current styles. 50 folded items per drop off to ensure quick entry into our computerized system (Or, about the amount you can fit in a regular laundry basket!) Please DO NOT bring items to the shop in a garbage bag. Use a laundry basket, small box or reusable grocery bag.
Bring your items in during store hours anytime from Monday – Saturday. If you are a new consignor, we will collect your information and set you up with a Consignor Account (link to contract at bottom of page). During your visit, we will go through your items and select what we can take based on condition, style, sizes needed & what we know will sell well in the store. Please allow us 10 minutes per drop off to sort through clothing. Sometimes there will be items that we can not accept. TIP: Bring in your items early in the season for your best return! Items received toward the end of the season will be discounted quicker.
Now, the good part! You receive 40% of the selling price of your items (50% for items priced $50+) As your Consignor Account grows, you may use your accumulated funds towards purchases made on anything in the store. This includes gently used items and new toys, games, gifts & more! Alternatively, you may request a cheque for accounts $25 or more. For accounting purposes, after 2 years of no activity on your account, your funds will only be available as store credit. If you would like to pick up a cheque on the weekend, give us a shout and we will have it ready and waiting.
The consignment period is 3 months from the time your items are entered into our system. When you drop off your items, you may request a return date. If you would like unsold items returned to you, email by the Return Date and we will pack up your remaining items for pick up. If we do not hear from you, items become property of Spring Children and will be donated or may be sold in a season-end sale. Donations are made to local charitable groups including Connections Perth.
